Privacy policy
Last updated: 27 August 2026
Growbly builds custom websites for service businesses, looks after them for the people who want that, and builds practical AI where it genuinely saves time. That work means I am sometimes trusted with information about your business and your customers. This policy sets out what is collected, what is done with it, and what will never be done, in plain language.
Who we are
Growbly is operated by Olivia Nicholls, based on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland, Australia. ABN 98 130 871 592. You can reach me at olivia@hellogrowbly.co. Growbly is a one person business, so the person reading your information is me.
What this website collects
- Visitor numbers and which pages are read, through a privacy friendly analytics tool. This does not identify you personally and is not sold or shared.
- This site runs a Meta advertising pixel, which tells Meta that a visit or an enquiry happened so I can measure whether advertising is working. You can turn this off in your own browser or ad settings, and it never receives anything you type into a form beyond the fact that a form was submitted.
- If you book a call, your name, email, and booking details are handled by Cal.com under their privacy policy. Those details are used only to run your call and follow up on it.
- If you use the enquiry or "practical AI win" form, I collect your name, business name, business email, the area of your business you selected, and your website if you give it. It is used to reply to you and to send what you asked for. You can unsubscribe at any time.
- If you email me, I keep the correspondence so I can respond and keep context. You are never added to a list you did not ask to join.
- This site does not sell or share visitor data with anyone.
What I access during a website build
- Only what the work needs: your services, your photos, your brand, your FAQs, and how enquiries reach you.
- I never ask for your existing account passwords. Where I need access to set something up, such as a domain or a Google Business Profile, you grant it to my own account and can remove it at any time.
- I do not need, and do not take, copies of your customer database to build a website.
- Enquiries sent through the form I build go to your inbox. I do not keep a copy of your customer enquiries.
Domains and hosting
- Any domain I register for you is registered in your name, with you as the owner, and the registrar fee is passed on at cost.
- If you already have a domain, it stays exactly where it is and I only point it at the new site.
- You receive every login at launch. If you take Growbly Care, I manage the domain and hosting on your behalf, but ownership never transfers to me and you can take the logins back whenever you want.
- Hosting providers used for client sites hold standard server logs, which include visitor IP addresses, as any web host does.
AI tools, and what never goes near them
- I use AI tools, including Claude, to help design, write, and build. AI assists the work. It does not make decisions about your business on its own.
- Anything sensitive I encounter, customer names, contact details, health or case information, is anonymised or removed before it goes near an AI tool.
- Where I build an AI workflow for you, it runs in your own accounts, on a paid plan in your name, and it is yours from day one.
- Wherever an AI drafts a message to your customers, a person reads it and sends it. Nothing sends by itself.
- Your business information is never used to train models, or to build anything for another client.
What I keep, and for how long
- During a build I hold working notes, drafts, and the content and images you send me.
- After launch I keep my own working files and a copy of the site I built, so I can help if you come back or if something breaks.
- Your customer lists and client records stay yours, and no copies are kept, including for Growbly Care clients.
- If you ask me to delete what I hold about your business, I will, unless a law requires me to keep it.
Your rights
- You can ask what information I hold about you or your business at any time.
- You can ask me to correct or delete it, and I will, unless a law requires me to keep it.
- I handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). If you work with me from New Zealand, the UK, or the United States, I apply the same standard.
Case studies
I only publish results, numbers, screenshots, or your business name with your written permission. Founding client case studies are agreed in writing before anything is shared.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes are flagged to active clients directly.
